Work doesn't have to SUCK.

And you don’t have to settle!

My journey here to Pivoting Point Career Solutions is probably very similar to your own. We both ended up here on the same website now, didn’t we? I truly believe in following your gut and becoming passionate and connected in your career and your life. It is the people who can truly be happy and connected that shine a light upon the world in a way no one else can. It is those people who make things happen. My story doesn’t start here though. I thought I had it all together, but it sure didn’t feel that way. I wasn’t sure why I felt so ungrateful for the things I had. Why was it so hard to get to work every day? Why did it take all my energy? Why did I not have enough time to spend with my family, my kid, or to look after myself. On the drive to work, I’d be on autopilot, not even realizing how I had gotten there. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I’d search the job boards and take every assessment imaginable. I kept wondering and dreaming of something better. But nothing seemed to fit, including the job I was currently doing.

Who I Am

It’s not hard to go to work anymore, in fact, work isn’t hard at all. I’m not saying that running my own career and life coaching business is easy. I’m saying it’s exciting and meaningful to me and it stretches me in ways I never imagined. I have learned as an introvert, there are things  I need in my life I’m not willing to forego. Finding who I am led me to what I want to do. I run  private coaching, workshops and speaking events which bring me joy seeing people connect to themselves and others in new and exciting ways. Through my NLP Practitioner training, I uncovered the power of words and stories we all can use to connect who we are on the inside with what we do on the outside. I brought all the things I needed from my corporate life of finance and analytics and added the things I love to reinvent myself. It is one of the things I am the proudest of – showing up in the world as I truly wish to be.

Who I Serve

You’re looking for a change but aren’t quite sure what it might be. You have this feeling that things aren’t quite right. Wanting more from your job has been on your mind for some time. So, if you are anything like me, you reached out to the Google-verse and started searching and here you are. I know. Looking for something new at this stage of the game seems scary. You’ve been doing ok most of the time but the reality is you are numbing out. Avoiding the gnawing concern you have about running out of time.

When you come face to face with the bigness of it all, fear can keep pushing you back. You start to believe what you have is good enough, which might work for a while. I know. That is why my career coaching programs are designed specifically with this in mind. Looking for work you love starts with a clear understanding of yourself and your fears. It doesn’t start with resume tips and interview advice. Get past the overthinking and analysis-paralysis that’s rooted you in place. Get off autopilot and back in the driver’s seat.

At the Heart of It

There are so many things that can stand in our way of getting what we really want. Stress and overwhelm cause us to lose focus and bump around in the dark. Fear and exhaustion can keep up buried in a good book or sucked into our phones. Even when we unplug we can find so many other things to do to numb us out from what is really going on. Work doesn’t have to suck. All the training, the years of education, all the sacrifices you made to get here are not lost when you reinvent your career. Reinvention doesn’t cost you, it feeds you. It feeds your family, your relationships, your integrity and your time. When you think there is something more for you…there is. If your ready and want to know what to do next, reach out and book your call.
