Land Acknowledgement Statement

I am deeply grateful to live, work, and play on Treaty One territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Anishininiimowin, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and the national homeland of the Red River Métis. This land has a long history, rich with stories, traditions, and resilience, and I recognize the privilege of being here.

I honor the Treaties made on these territories, acknowledging the deep responsibilities they carry. I also recognize the harms of the past and their lasting impacts. My commitment is to listen, learn, and actively contribute to reconciliation—not just in words, but through meaningful action and collaboration with Indigenous communities.

As I move forward in my work and daily life, I strive to be a respectful guest on this land, fostering relationships rooted in respect, understanding, and reciprocity.
